In het meest recente financiële overzicht van Leica (Bundesanzeiger Geschäftsbericht 4/2018-4/2019), die dus eigenlijk het jaar 2018 omvat, staat dat de firma een omzet heeft behaald van 299 Miljoen Euro (tov 2017: 313). De licentierechten bedragen 49 (54 Miljoen). De systeemcameras en de compactcameras hebben een omzet van 140 en 74 (147 en 76) behaald.De systeemcameras zijn terug op het niveau van 2102/2013 en de compactcameras staan op het niveau van voor 2010. Zonder licenties zou de omzet terugvallen op een niveau van 2011. De uitspraken van het management geven aan dat er een teruggang van 8-9% wordt verwacht voor 2019 en voor 2020 worden geen uitspraken gedaan, maar het Covid-19 virus heeft voor alle bedrijven in heel Duitsland een teruggang van 10% betekent.
